Biography

Advanced practice nursing has been the focus of Pat Clinton's professional career for 30 years. As a pediatric nurse practitioner she believes that the utilization of nurse practitioners is part of the solution to spiraling health care costs and indifferent managed care systems. Dr. Clinton has taught and directed the PNP program, served as Assistant Dean for MSN & DNP Programs, and currently serves as Director of Faculty Practice.

In 2006, she became president of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates & Practitioners (NAPNAP) and has served as a board member and president of the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. Dr. Clinton is active at the state and national level on issues related to advanced practice and professional roles.
